The Walk of Fame held on June 19, 2010, was a smashing success! Salem’s Youth helped mix concrete and poured pads for the benches outside the Education Building. In attendance were Hannah Lawrence, Josh Bennett, Ricky Lasser, Cassidy Deutsch, Shannon Deutsch, Morgan Rosensteel, and Hannah Rosensteel. Then, just like Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, where the stars have their names in the sidewalk, all helpers got to write their name and add their handprint and artwork.
After a wonderful cookout, the adults challenged the Youth to a game of soccer. The adults lost even though they cheated badly (according to the kids, but who can trust them?) To avoid embarrassment, the names of the participating adults will remain anonymous.
Thanks to all the kids who worked hard and the adults who lost with dignity.
